With the advent of long, sunny days and summer weather, my mind turns to holiday planning. I particularly love a White Christmas though many want warmer climes. If this sounds like you then perhaps spending Christmas in the Caribbean could be just the thing to cheer you up! Share the holiday spirit with family and friends on sandy white beaches and clear, warm waters!
Celebrated at different times, in different places throughout the world, it is a day of honor, of remembrance, of celebration. We honor mothers, motherhood, maternal bonds in community and their (and other mother-like figures’) influence throughout society.
Recently returned from the WTZQ Cruise to the Caribbean I wanted to talk of family. Families come in many styles, relative families and the families you make. As I contemplate the new year ahead, I am filled with hopes and dreams. Since I probably won't win the lottery, I know it is up to me to turn my goals into reality. And that means thinking about my New Year’s resolutions. Each year, it seems we all go through the same process: we set resolutions, otherwise known as challenges -- to drop some weight always seems to be the biggest resolution and the biggest challenge. And 2019 is no different for me. But why is it so hard to stick to a resolution? One reason I believe is that we have no guide, someone to keep us from straying off the path.
It’s not just in your person but in every aspect of your life--beauty--breathing it in, bringing it in, experiencing it in each moment, each second of every day, that is the embodiment of a beautiful figure. Warm weather, delightful people, shining vistas, and magnificent food. This past October I led a small group of guests to the beautiful Tyrrhenian seashores of the Amalfi Coast, where we felt Italy’s embrace and we embraced her in return.
All my adult life has been spent at a desk and as I near age 50, I decided I wanted to travel, to learn about the world, to learn from different cultures and people, to hear and learn various languages, and mostly to experience life not simply live it.
