Recently returned from the WTZQ Cruise to the Caribbean I wanted to talk of family. Families come in many styles, relative families and the families you make. Family is about sharing and caring, taking time together. So this past week I had the greatest pleasure creating our cruise family with nine other people, making us a family of ten.
Everyone agreed that the greatest pleasure they had was sharing dinner together each evening. Many say laughter is the best medicine for whatever ails you, and I’ve heard a smile has many health benefits. And we had plenty of those as we gathered around the table telling tales of the day, along with imbibing food, fun and great conversation. We would even get up and dance together with our waitstaff. A heartfelt shout out to Wind Star staff members Tivok, I’Wayan, and Sentana of the Carnival Ecstasy, who delighted us each evening with smiles, singing, dancing, and wonderful table service.
I want to thank Mark and Paige of WTZQ for allowing me to cross an item off my bucket list with this cruise: I swam with a dolphin, a wonderful experience in Freeport that I shall treasure forever. Other guest excursions involved jeep adventures and glass-bottom boats or simple fun in the sun.
Be sure and create your own travel family with friends and relatives to share and laugh together. They soon become dearly beloved and you shall feel refreshed and renewed, eager to craft another experience. And if you missed this cruise, don’t worry, we’re gonna do it again next year. Write in a comment below and let me know where you’d like us to go. Be sure to tag along and become part of this great travel family.
